Norton Internet Security Performance Tab not working - wasted 3.5 hours with Remote Support

Initial complaint: Can't use the optimize function - When I click on the Performance Tab, the program switches to the Performance section for several seconds and then the entire GUI disappears. It will not come back up except on reboot.

 

I spent 3.5 hours with the support agent on a remote session. He performed uninstalls and re-installs etc. He worked his way through the GUI, checking settings and clicking items. He completed the session while installing the latest updates to the new installation, asking if there was anything else he could do.. I asked if he would test the issue or if he felt it was resolved. He stated that the issue was resolved. I waited for the updates to finish, rebooted, and I still have the same problem.

 

He NEVER  clicked on the Performance Tab to look at the issue I reported. It is still as it was with no positive results.

 

Disappointed I wasted so much time with no results! I have always been a Symantec fan.
