Here's my problem: I installed NIS 2009 not too long ago. It worked initially, but the next time I turned on my computer it stopped working. It comes up with a message saying, "Unable to open this Norton Product. Please restart you computer." The error number is 8504,4. Restarting does nothing to solve the issue.
Also, it will not let me uninstall it. When I click on it in the add/remove app., it opens the User Account Control window but after I click continue, it does nothing.
I've tried downloading Norton Removal Tool, and it won't let me download it. It just brings up the message saying, "Internet Explorer cannot display the website . I've tried downloading it from multiple sources too, all with the same results.
I've tried everything I could find in tech-support and nothing works.
By the way, I'm running on Vista with service pack 1, if that makes any difference.
