Over the last two days, I’ve had problems with NIS 2010 at start-up. The “Norton Internet Security Service” is timing out and NIS 2010 doesn’t start. When this happens, Windows Security Center says I have no firewall or antivirus protection. Each time this has happened, the problem goes away when I restart.
I’m very concerned about this. If I hadn’t been sitting at my computer, I could have gone awhile with no protection. Anyone have an idea why the service is timing out sometimes?
