Initially when I had minor niggling problems with NIS Vault I thought it was "no big deal". Then I thought about it and found muself coming back to the question "if all my passwords are stored in NIS NIS Vault and the programme does not work flawlessly, then, how secure are my passwords in the Norton Internet Security Vault?
So what are the problems:
1) When you place the mouse pointer over the three dots to the right of the "VAULT IS OPEN" icon and are rewarded with the comment "click here to change settings" and or hover the mouse pointer over the vault entrance to get the message "Click here to see your Identity Safe Cards and Logins" in fact if you have been online with the vault open for more that one hour nothing happens - very inconvenient if you have a lot of work to do.
2) If you have two passwords associated with different user names saved for the same site and you get the onscreen message from the NIS Vault "Multiple logins for this site. Which one would you like to use? 2V Dont Ask X" if you click on either the number or Dont Ask, again you get no response. This is even more annoying if you want (for the sake of speed and productivity) to manually input the user name you want to use, NIS insists on filling out the password for the first username - even if you have typed in the second username
When, in NIS on the desktop you wish to edit a site username/password then you go ahead and edit the information - when you try to save on occasions you are told that the login exists and please choose another one...........??..... : (
Minor niggles but has anyone else had them (or similar) and are they indicative of deeper problems? (My personal feeling is "probably not")
