On June 14, 2016 updated Norton Internet Security to 22.7.0.75 and applied latest Windows 7 Pro security updates. Since then Windows Action Center is reporting that Norton services are not active or monitor.
- Unable to get Action Center to start monitoring Norton services.
- Using Norton UI, changes setting to deactivate firewall, antivirus, antispam, and Identity protection.
- Shutdown and restart
- Start Norton
- Activate (Fix) using Norton UI, firewall, antivirus, antispam, and Identity protection
- Action Center - reports that all Norton services are monitor and on.
- But after the next shutdown and restart
- The problem is back, Action Center reporting Norton services are not active.
