Windows XP Pro SP3
Norton SI (16.5.0.135) hits my hard drive once a second whenever the computer is on, according to Microsoft's Sysinternal's Process Monitor. The hard drive activity light flashes every second, even when nothing is supposed to be taking place.
This seems to be unnecessary activity that wastes energy and shortens the hard drive's life.
Can anything be done?
