I get this message:
[13:41:29] Level: ERROR MODULE=SocketAddress, MSG=Error: Unable to Convert Server Name to Internet Address: None: 11001
This specific message is mentioned in the News Bin Pro forum as being caused by the Norton Internet Security firewall.
I have already gone into the Firewall and changed the program's access to Allow.That failed.
I have turned off all the functions that I can on the Internet Security dashboard. That failed too.
What else must I do in order to make the firewall let this program function?
And, if anyone from Symantec happens to read this, why does every effort to use common, ordinary software like this with your firewall have to be a long, drawn-out struggle involving calls to tech support, and chats, and posts to forums ad infinitum?
TIA for any advice you have. I would prefer not to have to change antivirus software. This is supposed to be the best of the suites but boy, am I tired of struggling to get the firewall to let me work.
