Hi all. So, I've used Norton Internet Security's Web Protection feature to save and automatically enter passwords on a couple of different computers and it's worked fine, however, on this computer, it doesn't seem to be working right at all.
So, I created my Web Protection thing and created a password for it. Part of my problem may have been that when I did it the first time, I didn't have it disable Internet Explorer's built-in password saving, but, just in case that was a problem, I reinstalled NIS and told it to do that the second time.
So, in any event, when I start Internet Explorer, it will generally pop up with the option at the top to log in to my web protection thing, as it should, so, I'm definitely logged in (and, I've double-checked through the program to make sure that I am as well, so, that's not an issue).
However, from there, it is almost never prompting me, when I enter a username and password on a website, to save the password. It's as if it doesn't know that I am. And this is at websites where it has worked fine before on other computers. And, no, I didn't ever hit the option for it to not ask me for passwords.
For a couple of websites I even went into NIS and manually created a login for the particular websites. On one it did nothing at all (and again, it's worked there in the past), and on the other NIS automatically entered my password, but left the username field completely blank.
Now, it does actually work on a few websites, so, it's not completely broken/messed up/whatever, it is functioning somewhat. Just, as I said, for the most part it isn't, and on places where I know it had worked fine in the past.
So, I'm not sure what exactly is going wrong here, especially since, as I said, I've done all of this on different computers and not had any issues...
In any event, system information:
Windows 7 Professional
Internet Explorer 9
Norton Internet Security 2012
If I've left out any information which could be useful I can provide that as well.
Needless to say, I appreciate any help very much.
