Norton isn't finding anything wrong

Hello! I'm new to this, so, if I'm doing it wrong, tell me. Two days ago, my credit card company called to tell me I had bogus charges on my card. Yesterday, Yahoo told me my email has been compromised. According to the list Yahoo provided, of ways email can be compromised, the only one that fits would be: "a type of malicious software called a keylogger on your computer." I only use my home computer, I don't respond to phishy emails, I use different passwords for everything, and nobody else has my passwords.

I run Norton anitvirus every week after I update it and it never finds anything wrong. But something has to be wrong. I got suspicious when I started getting messages pop down when I was online saying: Safari can't confirm the identity of Facebook.com (or words to that effect), do you want to continue, cancel, etc? These would pop up when I was anywhere and everywhere except on Facebook. I thought that was odd, and always clicked cancel. Safari has been quitting unexpectedly lately, but that is not especially unusual for Safari. Now I wonder.

What can I do to find out what, if anything, is on the computer if Norton can't find it? I'm on an eMac running Tiger 10.4.11, Safari 4.1.3, Firefox 3.6.17, and Norton Internet Security for Mac. I can't figure out how to tell you what version of that I have because all of the components are listed separately everywhere I look here on the computer. It's whatever the latest version a computer that is only a PowerPC can run.

Oh, and please, if you can help me, explain what to do in layman's terms. I think you can tell that I am not a computer whiz. I know what I know from teaching myself by trial and error, so it's not much. Thanks!
