Ran the recommended updates from today's Patch Tuesday for Windows 8.1 (which was otherwise up to date). Norton Security suddenly gave me a message that my 30-day trial period had expired and I needed to Activate the product. Of course the product was already activated, and installed in February. Nevertheless I tried to Activate. First you get a screen asking you to log in, which I did. The product connects to the Symantec server and correctly reports that I have an available subscription and asks if I want to use it to Activate. I say yes, it tries, and then reports that the Symantec Server cannot be contacted and to check my internet connection (which is obviously working). This happens reliably and repeatedly after reboots, etc. So I have a valid subscription and Norton won't work. Boo! Any ideas?
