Norton Management - No Device

Hello,

in Norton Managment there is in " My Devices" no device registrated.

Trying to add an new device ( my PC on which Norton Internet Security is installed ) by clicking "Add new Device" opens a new page telling me, that i am not allowed to add an device, because i have no license. Also a button "Get License" appears.

But thats not true, indeed my Norton Internet Security is fully licensed and works very well ( 352 days left ).

Any suggestion ?

Thanks in advance,

Klaus

Hi KwkFiedler

If you have a one-user licence then you have no user licence free to use, when you click add a device and you have a spare user licence it provides the option to download the Norton product you have available.

Add a device translates to login using the device you want to install Norton on.

To check your device is registered with Norton Log into Norton management on the link below using your Norton account email address and password, click on my account, click on product details to view the information.

For your computer to show up in Norton Management, you need to have Remote Management enabled in your NIS. From the main Norton interface click Support - General - Other Settings and turn on the setting for Remote Management.

Hello,

thanks for your advice, but clicking " Remote Management " says : " Your account can not currently be authenticated " when i type my passeord for Norton Account.

"Currently" seems to mean "never", because i have tried several times, no success.

Strangly my Norton Account is working properly, when i log in within Norton Internet Security with menue item "Account", or outside Internet Security over WWW.

On the other hand, if i try to log on also in  Norton Internet Security with menue item "Log On" ( upper, right side in main window ), a red cross appears with "Error log".

It seams to be something wrong with my account, not the whole thing, but some details are false.

Is there any opportunity to "reset" my account, or delete and make it new without loosing my license ?

Thanks in asvance,

Klaus

In this situation, I would suggest you contact Live chat, explain the situation to them and they should be able to assist you.

Hi KwkFiedler,

1. If you have attempted to login with incorrect username/password for few times, you will get this 'Failed to authenticate' error. Wait for 24 hrs and attempt to login using correct username/password.

2. If you have provided correct user name/password in the first attempt, yet it throws error then do complete removal of norton using Norton Removal tool and reinstall again. Then try to  'Sign in' from product main UI

3. If still problem presists, please contact support.

Note: Make sure product key is registered to account which you are trying to login. Also verify your Norton product is listed in "My Account -> Products" (www.manage.norton.com)

Thanks!
