For over a year now, I have used Norton Mobile Security (on my Android devices, it calls itself Norton Security with Antivirus). I am usually very satisfied with it; in particular, I like how it will tell you whether apps are malicious before they install them. However, I have recently run up against a series of contradictions. One of the behaviors which is on Norton's list of malicious actions is prompting to install other apps -- this will give an app a 'high risk' rating. Imagine my surprise, therefore, when I woke up this morning to discover a notification, from my Norton Security with Antivirus app, telling me to install Norton App Locker for free! This sort of prompting would, and should, be considered malicious in any other app. I decided to investigate further, and looked at your Norton app report for the Norton app itself. It said that the Norton app only uses battery when it is in use. This is also very strange, given that the Norton app will scan your phone in the background whether you are using it or not. This is a feature for which I am profoundly grateful, but I find it strange that something as intensive as scanning apps would use no battery. My email app only ever checks email in the background, which is done much more quickly than a Norton scan, but it has a higher background battery use rating according to Norton. These various inconsistencies make me feel very uncomfortable in my continued use of Norton products. Thank you very much for resolving them as quickly as possible.
