Am I correct in assuming I do not need Norton Anti-Theft if I have Norton Mobile Security installed (v.3.5.0.1023)?
But it is very irritating that when I previously had norton anti-theft installed on one machine. It is not accessed the same as norton mobile security, even though you sign in to both web pages using your same norton account. I've now found that I need to uninstall anti-theft, then install mobile security, and sign in again through that. NOW I have both on the one web page. BUT REALLY, calling it "Anti-Theft Secure" within Norton Mobile Security, then having to get to it via "https://mobilesecurity.norton.com" instead of antitheft.norton.com!

Hi Fellwalker
I will try my best to clarify the conflicts that come about from having both Norton Mobile
Security and Norton Anti-Theft apps installed on one device.
From recent tests with Norton Anti-Theft (NAT) and Norton Mobile Security (NMS) apps for
Android devices there is still the 2 different web Control Panels, where either NAT or NMS
can be installed on a single device and access the specific web Control Panel associated
with the particular Norton Security app (NOTE- Both apps cannot be installed on one device
at the same time.)
I have multiple devices running NMS under one Norton Account, and removed NMS from one
of them for testing and installed NAT .
I downloaded NAT from the Google Play Store and installed and signed in with my Norton Account
details and registered the device with NAT.
Then i went to the NAT website -
And used my Norton Account details to login and it took me directly to the NAT Control Panel
where the registered test device shows with access to the NAT web based Anti-Theft features.
Then i went to the NMS website -
https://mobilesecurity.norton.com/
I logged into the NMS Control Panel with my Norton Account details and it showed all devices
that were registered with NMS and not the device with NAT only installed on it.
NMS will allow users to run multiple devices with a single license which means if you own both
NMS and NAT that you are better off to run NMS with all it's Security and Anti-Theft features.
What i did find is if you have NAT installed and then install NMS or NAT installed and the install
NMS as well is that the NMS Anti-Theft in app feature will notify the user of an app conflict with
the NAT app and will prompt the user to uninstall NAT from the device.
Because with both NAT and NMS installed on a single device the NMS web Control Panel features
will not work at all and the NAT web Control Panel does seem to operate ok.
So uninstalling NAT from within the NMS app will allow the NMS app and web based Control Panel
to operate correctly.
I hope that information helps.
Cheers.
