Hi I have just recently installed Norton mobile onto my android phone, I was going into the security app to familiarise myself with the app however I think I may have switched on one of the buttons on, one is smart scan is on, the other is scan system app for malware and behavioural problems or something to the like, I'm now confused which one was off or should they both be on. Arggghhh wish I never looked.norton premium 360 for mobile. There are no system issues it's merely for myself as I think I may have switched one of by accident and I'm not sure if I did or not I have the above of both on.
If you just look at the descriptions of the individual settings, you can decide if you want that feature enabled or not.
Personally, I like the Smart Scan to be on. But the Scan System Apps setting might be good for one scan of your device after each major OS update. But it can be disturbing if you really do not understand the Android OS. It can flag a feature as dangerous because the behaviour of that feature in a non OS file would be indicative of malware.
If you really want to ensure all settings are reset to default you need to clear the app data and cache in Android Settings. Go into Android Settings - Apps. Scroll to the NMS app and clear the app cache and app Data. Restart the device. This will reset your NMS to a trial version. To get the full version back, open the NMS app, tap on the 3 bars at the top left, then tap Sign In. Enter your Norton Account information and you should have the full version again.
