Norton NIS does NOT cleanup after an update - left my dead files on my machine

I was automatically updated from 18.5 to 18.6.  However, the update left 1 copy of the 3M patch.js file plus the log files in All Users left copies of the patch.mft files (14M).  I do not like programs that leave/add extra files that will take longer be used. It will take to scan this dead files or adds spaces to hide malware.   Can't Norton clean up these dead files.  These file are not needed again but are now resident on my disk for the life of the machine.

 

AS YOUR MOTHER SAID----> CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF....  (This is a bad, or lazy,  programming practice.)

 

After update are these files needed:

patch.2.mft (4 copies)

patch.1.mft (4copies)

install.mft
