Norton Online Backup shows my computer status as Computer Not Online almost daily. As suggested in the forum, I have tried restarting my computer. That usually does not fix the problem. I am now also reinstalling Norton Online Backup over the existing installation almost daily as suggested by clicking Add a Computer and downloading and running NortonOnlineBackup.exe. This usually seems to fix the Computer Not Online problem temporarily although sometimes the reinstall will hang and I must rerun it.
I have Vista Home Premium SP2, Firefox v10.0.2, and Norton 360 v6.1.1.8 with Norton 360 backup disabled.
Any suggestions to avoid regularly having the Computer Not Online problem and doing a Norton Online Backup reinstall? Thanks!
If you have the Norton360 installed in your Computer then instead of using the NOBU client software and going to the website to restore your files, you can use the Backup feature through your Norton360. You can backup your files, you can restore your files through the Norton360. Because the Backup storage space is common for your Norton account, so all the softwares(NOBU client, Norton360) under the same account can access the Secure Online Storage space.

It appears that I cannot use Norton 360 to access files stored on online backup storage that were previously backed up using the NOBU client. If I try to restore files using Norton 360, when it asks me to Select Restore Source, I don't see any option to choose files previously backed up using the NOBU client. I only see options for backups done by Norton 360. When I use NOBU to restore or download a file, I do see previous backups shown for both NOBU and Norton 360 from which to choose.
I also don't see a way to email file links to someone using Norton 360. This along with the discussion above appear initially to be drawbacks to use only Norton 360 without using the NOBU client. Thanks!
When you goto the Restore page in Norton360, click the Refresh List Option and then check. Also when you goto manage backup sets-->where (tab)-->next to the secure online storage, is it showing the storage space including the space of NOBU?
Yes, on the Restore page in Norton 360, I click on View All and then click on Refresh List. However, it only shows the Norton 360 backups. Also, on Manage Backup Sets, the Where tab does show all Secure Online Storage including the space of NOBU.
