Norton Online BackUp Stops Working Upon NIS Beta Installation

I was referred here, after some discussion, over in this thread: http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=nis2010_pb&thread.id=1745&view=by_date_ascending&page=1

Here's my situation:

1- Running Windows 7 RC1

2 - Due to compatibility issues, I had to uninstall my licensed Norton 360 v/3, and use the Windows 7 compatible beta. So far, so good.

3 - The beta had no online backup provision, so I used the Norton Online Backup program. Worked quite well.

4 - Norton suspended work on the 360 beta - and stopped renewing keys - in favor of the NIS 2010 beta program. I had little choice but to switch over until such time that my official copy of Norton 360 is updated to Windows 7 compatible. Maybe in August or September.

5 - I ran the Removal Tool and then installed NIS 2010 beta.

6 - Online Backup ceased to function. I could access the web page and see my backup, but it showed me always as "offline". No tray icon, either. I see this:

[Computer Name] (not online)
Last Backup: 07/19/2009 08:10:11 AM (
View Log)
20,112 Files/2.49 GB
That last backup was just before I uninstalled 360 in favor of NIS.
7 - I have uninstalled and then reinstalled Online Backup. Now I have a tray icon, but it still doesn't work. Clicking on the icon does nothing. The Backup web page still shows me as "offline".
8 - Windows error report says it is incompatible with this version of windows, yet, it was working perfectly before I installed the beta of NIS.
Any suggestions??
