I am an experienced software person who has to report problems frequently with Norton Online Backup. I have been through the problems with this program claiming that my computer was offline, I am aware of the fix to "add a computer" to force the latest version of software and a reset down to this computer. That hasn't worked in this case. I have been through repeated reboots to see if that would resolve this problem. I am running the Norton Internet Security 2012 beta and also the PerfectDisk 2012 beta (with Optiwrite turned off in case you consider that relevant). Right now it took hours to get NOLBU to accept a login and to click on the backup button. Now 6 hours later, I have have progress steps in the IE progress bar. I am running Win XP with all updates. My second home computer running Win Vista has never had problems. I repeat from previous posts - "Is Norton really supporting this product?" Where has the online chat support gone? In the past I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the product to fix the problem, but that wipes out the backup and takes 4 days or so to re-establish the 28.29 GB backup (two computers), Any ideas?
