So I've been using the Free version for a while now (Premier is not available in my region). Towards the end of last year (2012), There was an update to NOF. This caused no ends of havoc in my life, and after much struggle I got it to install on both my children's machines. However, with it being school holidays over December, I didn't really notice not getting any alerts from my daughter's machine (my son's I disabled the time block). It wasn't until school started again in January, and I re-enabled my son's time blocking, that I realised my daughter's machine wasn't sending ANY alerts, or locking her machine.
Now I've checked that Norton Online registers the machine (the site shows it protecting my daughter), but the client on the machine just does not seem to work. I check the "House rules" and I get a blank window. I check the time, and it says it's finished. I update, and it says "House rules updated successfully."
Now I've read a lot of posts to see if this is happening anywhere, and I see mostly "my child is able to continue using the machine after the time", with responses that question if the child has the password, or that they merely continue going back in. Now I can tell you with absolute certainty, that isn't happening now. How can I tell you this, well, my daughter is in bed, and I've restarted her machine, reinstalled NOF, and checked everything, and it's not doing ANYTHING! I decided to confirm if the website tracking is working, and well, it DEFINITELY doesn't work.
It seems this is since the update. I remember having difficulty, as it kept telling me that the machine was already linked to another account, so I eventually changed the machine name on Norton. I thought this might have been the reason it wasn't tracking, but when I re-installed again tonight, and Norton shows the actual machine name, it is still not working.
Some assistance in this regard would be appreciated. Please remember, my daughter isn't even using the machine to "prevent' it locking, it just isn't doing anything.
