I am constantly receiving notifications on my pc from my daughters pc stating that she is trying to access a particular website in actual fact she is not! the webaddresses are www.mywb.org and hb2mywb.org everytime she switches her laptop on i get error messages i have tried to change things on her laptop but they keep appearing! Please can someone help?
Hi Julia0204,
You mentioned: "everytime she switches her laptop on i get error messages".
1. When you said "switches", does it mean she switches users and logs onto the PC using her own account?
2. Does it only happen when she switches users to log onto the PC? If not, could you tell us which website(s) she visits, then you get the error?
3. What is the exact error, e.g. house rules don't allow the kid to visit the site?
Thanks,
Katie
Hi lainBarker,
Norton Online Family records the websites a monitored child visits plus the links that embedded on the page. In this case, you might have visited a webpage, and www.mywb.org is embedded on the page.
Thanks,
Katie

I appreciate that this software logs the websites that have been visited - that is why I installed it!
However, I was seeking advice as to why the laptop might be polling this website continuously - I'm receiving notifications every minute.
Do you have any suggestions? Is it registered as a rogue website?
Regards
Iain
lainBarker,
It sounds like you have some software installed on the PC and they keep checking back with their servers and Norton Safety Minder just records these activities as it should. Please check out the links below and they might help you to understand the issue better.
