Norton Online Family Stops Working

I have Norton Online Family installed on several computers in our home.  All are working well except for the one with Windows 7.   Starting up the computer, it's there and working, but at some point during the day it stops working.  I didn't receive an email either.  My son thinks it happens after his computer comes out of a sleep mode.  I tried restarting the computer and now can't find it on the computer?? 

 

Any suggestions?

It looks weird that Norton Safety Minder stopped working and even disappeared without any prompt or message. Could you please provide the following information to help troubleshoot this problem?

 

  1. What is the version of Norton Safety Minder you had installed? I think the most recent.  v. 2.0.0.48
  2. Do you see Norton Safety Minder in Add/Remove programs? I don't see Norton Safety Minder.
  3. Can you see the folder named Norton Online under C:\Program Files\ ? Yes
  4. Do you have any other security or firewall programs installed on your computer? If yes, please provide the names. Norton Internet Security, Windows (but not in use),
  5. Is your kid's Windows user account a limited user account? It was, but I changed it to see if that was the problem. I think the problem has to do with it being Windows 7.  It is a Dell Inspiron 64 bit.   We have 4 other computers in the house that it seems to be working fine...
We are installing it again now, since it appears not to be installed.  The version is 2.0.0.48.  Right now it is working.  We will watch and see what happens (more carefully this time).  Thanks for your reply.
