Norton Online Family website blocking not working

Hi,

 

I'm trying to set up and test web site blocking. I want to block cnn.com and youtube.com for my kids. I set up the PC, installed norton, created user accounts for my kids and when I log in and test, it doesn't block either site. I tried rebooting the PC a few times, updating the rules, and neither helped. My computer is running Windows XP SP3. The version of Norton Online family is the latest I downloaded (about an hour ago as of this post)

I am logging in as my child (using a Windows account I created for them and associated with them on the Norton Online portal). I do see a popup that says web activity is being monitored, but when I check on the website, I don't see any logs. It says no activity in the last 7 days.

 

Edit: I should also mention I tried in Firefox and IE and neither got blocked when I went to youtube.com (or cnn.com)

I tested it myself, and I was blocked correctly.

 

How do you have the rules setup at Settings -> Web?  Is the option "Block the site" selected?

 

Is youtube.com on the block list?

 

Are there any features working at all in the program?
