I am actually surprised you were able to install and use Norton Password Manager, NPM, on a Kindle FireOS device. That OS is not listed as supported in this Norton Support article.

Although FireOS is a derivative of the Android OS, there are differences that usually cause Norton products to not be compatible.

Where did you get your initial download of NPM for your Kindle?

I don’t remember: either Amazon or Play Store, which I’ve side loaded.

@Andy_Klein Did you or do you still use the Silk browser on your Kindle Fire device? If so Norton may have disabled that or Amazon has on their end due to the proprietary OS as Guru peterweb posted. Check Silk if you are using it for any changes to it that may have affected the use of NPWM.

AI Overview

Norton Password Manager is not directly supported on Amazon Fire devices. While it’s primarily designed for Android and iOS, Norton Password Manager does have a browser extension that can be used with the Silk browser on Fire tablets. To use it, you’ll need to install the extension in Silk, and you can then access your passwords and other data through the extension’s interface.

Thanks! I’ll check Silk. I use it. I’m just baffled as to why NPWM used to work, and suddenly it doesn’t. The app still comes up; it just refuses to recognize my password.

As noted, the FireOS is not supported officially by Norton. That does not mean an app might work on an unsupported OS, but the app can also stop working due to an update to the app or the OS.
