Norton phishing scam

I have been a Norton user for decades, and although there have been problems, nothing as annoying as now.

Each morning I update and clean all products, using Microsoft disk clean, Revo junk file remover, Dell Support Assist, and finally Nortons own inbuilt cleaner Performance clean. There should be nothing left.

When I now run Norton Smart Scan, the advanced section tells me there is over 5600Mb of junk outstanding, and to clean up I should sign up for Norton Clean-up Utilities.

When I contacted Norton Support, I was told to ignore the errors, and that this was a marketing ploy by Norton.

Bad enough to get criminals trying to scam, but for Norton, this is highly unethical.

I have lodged a complaint with US Federal Trade Commission.
