Norton pop-up to install NS extensions which IS already installed

Since I reinstalled NS last week every time I open a web page a Norton's warning pops up to invite me to install the Norton Security Extension which IS already installed. I know I could click "No, thanks" but the point is a different one: Why does Norton see as not installed an extension which is instead installed.

It would be nice it that pop-up stopped appearing.

Actually, for some reason, it disappeared spontaneously soon after my previous post, and it hasn't come back...yet!

You must have more patience than I.  I clicked the "No thanks" link as soon as I seen it.  I'm not bothered any more.  smiley

But, hey, today the pop-up hasn't appeared yet(?).....

 I spoke too soon, it is back! frown

The only extension I have installed is the Norton Security Toolbar. I do not need the other extensions Norton offers. But, hey, today the pop-up hasn't appeared yet(?).....

Hi Rainbow_2,

Norton probably is prompting you to install an extension you haven't got installed, unless you have installed all four already of course.
