The Norton “Get extra 3 months of protection” popup has been visible for more than 15 minutes with no way to close it.
It is not rendered correctly and some of the text is not visible.
There are no buttons visible, so no way to close it. I have tried , and other combinations and nothing works.
I am certainly not going to pay for more time using a product that does not render correctly with Windows 10 set at 100% and no text scaling.
At this point the only solution that I can think of is to reboot.

@Julie777 Open your “Task Manager”, Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete keyboard keys at the same time, and select “Task Manager” in the next screen. Scroll through the processes tab listing. At the very top, you should see Norton 360 open and more than one UI shown. Right click and select stop. That should close out the popup.

I tried ending tasks and it did not work. It finally closed after more than 25 minutes.
Interesting!! That is the manner I usually get rid of annoyances when they appear. Are you using the latest version of Norton? 26.3.10886 (build 26.3.10886.978)

Doesn’t Norton Product Tamper Protection stop users from making changes in Task Manager?
Yes it does!! I haven’t had an issues stopping a open browser process via task manager. They appear at the top of the processes listing and apparently can be closed. Interesting. Maybe Julie’s popup was tied to a protected process?

even worse, the popups are protected from screen capture. Opening the screen capture tool hides the popups so they cannot be reported
Julie, as inconvenient as it is I have to get a screenshot of those type of notices via my mobile, forward to myself and post in that manner. They can be reported in that fashion.

@globus5000 As much as we could wish. Norton is NOT looking at this because its by design. This has been reported for a very long time, more than a couple of years and not addressed. Its not going to be addressed. The way to get screenshots that hide, is taking a photo with a mobile device, forward it to your self or post it via mobile to the forums.

men 26.3 plus er kun bygget til fejl men om i vil tro mig må i selv om det er det eneste der er planlagt den er bygget til at fixe alle de fejl de kan før 26.4 kommer så alt er stabil når den kommer det er derfor den ikke er klassificeret som en miner en miner vil jo aldrig stige i 1.0.138 det er derfor den er støre end normal 26.3 plus er en major bugfix patch ikke andet til før 26.4 men det tror du jo ikke på de har fixet 14 op til 978 så de har gjort meget men det tror du måske ikke heller du tror jo ikke at norton kan fixe fejl men du tror kun på dig selv i der er 1-4 tror aldrig på andre end jer selv plus de arbejder på 25 flere
Grunden til at det bliver fixet nu er at de kikker hele norton 360 igennem de har alt for mange fejl lige nu så hvis du hader en ting skal du ikke sige det her sig det til norton support du får ingen ting ud af at sige det her kun på support vil de lytte til dig hvis de høre om 40 fejl nu fixer de 40 fejl ting der skal rettest så bliver systemet rettet norton opgradere hele norton 360 til version 2.0
Uden fejl fjerner dumme ting i hader plus andre ting hvis du vil sige det til dem som i ikke vil
Jeg ved mange ting som i hader der allerede er godkendt til ny version det er

De har fixet 14 fejl i 978 og de har godkendt 25 flere ting plus nok flere det er jo ikke små ting de

This somewhat new Notifications setting in 360 would appear to keep the popups visible in screenshots. Note, the setting has to be off to keep the popups. I haven’t had an opportunity lately to test this.
Thanks. I have those settings set same as yours. The notice still hides on my part when trying to get a screenshot though.

Thank you. That is a setting that I did not know about.
Sadly, that does not fix my inability to close the popup.
