I have been experiencing internet disruption problems recently and decided it was time to use NPE to see if there were any problems.
I keep getting this message - "Sorry, you need the newest version of Norton Power Eraser to run scans. Get the newest version from the Norton Power Eraser Web page, here."
So i downloaded the NPE.exe from the website. When i want to run/install the .exe, it tells me that it is already running.
I disable my NIS and run NPE.exe again. This time it works. I set out what i wanted to do, repair and remove some of the bad rep software from my PC. I restart my PC and all is well.
The thing that is bugging me is, why does the NPE part of the NIS keep giving me this "you need the newest version" message. Do i have to keep running the NPE.exe independently from now on?
