When I run Norton Power Eraser it brings up Glary Utilities 5.94 as an unwanted item? Why?
Thanks,
Marvin

Jeff, thanks for the info. This is probably the reason that NPE does this as I keep Glary updated on a regular basis.

NPE uses a form of reputation.
If a application has been recently updated, the files have not been seen very often and is not recognized yet.
They will get flagged as possibly unsafe. Keep this in mind when reviewing scan results.
Hope that helps,
Jeff
thanks!
Again, it is important to remember that NPE does not detect malware. It only suggests files for you to investigate if you are having unexplained issues with your PC and a regular virus scan has not detected anything malicious.
Thanks for your reply.
FWIW ~ I've seen NPE detect Glary Utilities on n' off for years.
Don't know why. I've always ignored detection and in time NPE did not detect Glary Utilities....until the next time.
