After using Norton Power Eraser (happy me, no crimeware found) I’m confronted with a very special file called “bootlog_NPETraceSession.etl " (filer: Documents and Settings/Admin/Local Settings/NPE” eating up all the free space on my harddisk. I tried the Norton Removal tooI without success; I still can not find the proces that produces this file. Any known solution?
Can't you just delete it?
Thank you for the suggestion. But no, I can’t delete the file (as I stated I also do not know about the process which builds it). Rebooting is the only possibility to regain free space. After the reboot this unknown process starts building another NPE “TraceSessionLog” again until the free space on the harddisk is filled up. And I have no other solution, rebooting again and again and again. Meanwhile the building of this file is also slowing down my notebook’s performance. So . . . ?
