I've been entering a contest's daily drawing for over a month with no problem (also different security package). I installed Norton on a laptop, and now that device gets an error whenever trying to enter the contest. It is a reputable site, with so many visits per day that I know I'll never win, but I persist. As a new user, is there a way to force Norton to let me get to a site? I
I should have given more detail. I can get through the initial entry screen. It is when I am in the second screen, and trying to "submit" my entry that I progress to the next screen tells me it can't get to it. I can't get the exact address for the second screen because I appear to have screwed up my chances for today. The email reminder for the contest has a link to HGTV and to DIY. The DIY link gives me no problem at all. I would say that it was the HGTV website, but it started right after I installed Norton, plus there's a little pop-up that says that Norton is blocking it, and the logs have this entry - "An intrusion attempt by 87.17.31.152 was blocked".
And what is the error message you are seeing when you are entering the contest? What part of the entry process causes the error?
All: This post is in the incorrect thread. I will ask this to be moved to the Norton antivirus board.
Cheers
Sorry, didn't want to admit to my foolishness. I register for the HGTV Dream Home every day because I'm delusional and think I can win - https://www.hgtv.com/design/hgtv-dream-home/sweepstakes
