Norton Private Browser editing glitch

I edit records on genealogy web sites using Norton Private Browser. When my mouse encounters text that is highlighted by the host site, my mouse does not work properly. Clicks into lines with highlighted text do nothing; I must move the cursor into lines with highlighted text using keyboard arrow keys. There is some customization of the browser text editor that inhibits normal Windows mouse cursor movement.

Have you tried with a different browser to see if it is something on the website causing this behavior?

I tested editing on the same website (WikiTree) in Chrome, Edge, and DuckDuckGo, and mouse clicks work normally in text-editing boxes in these browsers. I did not test FireFox. The display of the text in the editing box on Norton is normal, but mouse clicks are abnormal under some circumstances, such as when a … source reference tag is present in the text.

In my previous reply, “…” meant [left angle bracket]ref[right angle bracket]…[left angle bracket]/ref[right angle bracket]. The literal characters would not transmit properly.
