Thanks – if anyone starts to badger with the “WHEN” questions I’m sure Stu or I can run interference <g>
When I went on the Norton security history and then went on the product tamper section i noticed that all the time “GOOGLEUPDATER.EXE” was blocked from taking any action, so is it trying to ‘attack’ Norton, could someone help me out please.
Thanks!
Hi ShinOrochiX,
I get several log entries for GOOGLEUPDATE.EXE everyday. It seems to be one of those processes that, for whatever reason, triggers numerous Norton Tamper Protection events. The Google Updater is a known safe, albeit persistent, application so there is nothing to be concerned about other than an overabundance of log entries.
Same! Everyday the googleupdater.exe does something, anyway thanks.

Even so, you still don't want Safe Applications making changes to your Norton Products.
Curious to know why the Google Updater is wanting to access Norton...

The same question had crossed my mind a while back. It's still not clear what is going on:
Norton Tamper Protection and Open Process Token
yes, could tell me why?
Un-fortunately, we're still not clear what's going on with the Google Updater.
