I had to recover my OS (factory reset) after sysfiles went missing (this is what WILL happen if you mop up uninstalls with something like fileASSASSIN). Norton 60-day was there (got 6 tracking cookies and an infostealer anyway. ).Had 1 use left on the NIS11 disc, which removed the previous Norton and left me with none. Tried to DL Norton tool to uninstall before re, but a weak connection corrupted the file, but I'm stuck with it (manually selecting a connection like I did before corrupted the MBB storage filter, so I'm changing nothing for nobody again). What now? I'm a sitting duck just doing this.
EDIT Tried again, and there it was - my subscription, pre-disaster. If only my MBB provider was half as good as Symantec. Thanks. Again.
