I ran the Norton Removal Tool and after it was done I rebooted. When the boot was finished I saw that most of the file association data was gone. Windows no longer knew what executable to use to open any file which had an extention starting with a letter earlier in the alphabet than "P"! This includes files with a ".lnk" extention, so the start menu is totaly fried, as is the quick start toolbar, etc., etc., etc... Anyone else have this problem? Any cures?
Thanks.
Peter
