Symantec updated the NRT today, what means, that in case that somebody wnts to uninstall the just released v21, he can do it now without to worry for compatibility issues.
I just wanted to mention it to you, maybe somebdody wants to know, where to find it via direct link without long searching ;)
PS: even if you're not an english customer, I've had never problems with the older versions to uninstall my Norton - and I'm German (Thx, Cpt. Obvious :D).
It does not appear to have been updated yet - however I can tell you I tried to use it yesterday on NIS v21 and it would not work - suggested I use the NRT??
I'm showing 2.5.0.6 as the download version - and that is the same as the past few months!
I supposed NRnR.exe could be used to uninstall v20 and install v21, but not to uninstall and re-install v21.
Theoretically, it is supposed to remove whatever Norton version you have installed and install the latest version available. so at this time, I do not know for certain if the roadblock I ran into was for the removal of v 21 or that v 21 was not on the download yet? I had assumed that it could not remove v 21, although it did suggest to use the NRT? But we all know about the word assume!
Can someone from Symantec comment on when the Remove & Reinstall tool from www.Norton.com/nrnr will be updated to a version that supports Norton 2014 (v21)?
