Norton reports autocorrect is not working

NIS v22

Ok on 7/1/16 I ran a Manuel live update. After update downloaded and installed I was prompted to restart my laptop.
Then a little while later I notice a red x on the Norton icon in the system tray. Checked the problem and indicated auto protect is not working and that I’m at risk. I check my settings and auto protect shows on but with greeted out slider. SobI go to run the fix ( using my admin account). However the fix failed.
Before I go through the whole uninstall and reinstall process,I’m wondering if this had something to do with the Norton update that was processed?seems like this problem happened within 20 min after I processed the update
So is autoprotect on since it shows on in the settings?
