Norton Safe Web cannot show site ratings at google search engine when using FF 3.09

What is wrong with Norton Safe Web when I use FF 3.09??? It cannot show site ratings when I visit google on FF 3.09. Norton Safe Web can easily show site rating when I visit msn, ask, yahoo, and other search providers. Also, Norton Safe Web has site ratings for google search engine when I use IE 8.

 FF 3.09 (current version)

MSN on FF 3.09 version

IE 8 [NO problem with google search]

IE GOOGLE.png

Several of my clients have experienced the same problem that I have for the past two weeks. Does anyone here have this problem???

Thanks,

That was a bogus solution. Obviously, if the NSW icons are working in IE but not in FF, and in all other searches except Google, the problem is NOT that the NSW servers are down.

However, I have found that the Google Icon extension can block the NSW icons. You can still get the Favicons in Google searches by using the Customize Google extension and turning on the Favicons for the Web.

Did you read beyond the post marked as the solution?  That solution dealt with a separate issue and later posts exposed the Google/Firefox icon problem.  Unfortunately, many threads flagged as solved later branch into similar but causally-unrelated issues, a confusing situation that probably needs to be addressed somehow.

Hi All,

This thread is now locked from further posting. If you want to post about this problem, please use the following thread link:
