I had recently taken my computer in for its yearly maintenance and also to install the Norton Security (NS).
Prior to this installation, the Norton Toolbar (NT) was enabled in NIS. I did not use the vault and Ask Search but depended on the Norton safe web site rating icons when using Google search.
With this installation, my computer tech disabled the NS toolbar, saying it was not necessary because Windows had the capability to let me know whether a site was safe or not. Is this correct? If I still would like to see Norton's site rating icons when searching on Google, is there a way for me to see Norton's site rating icons without using the NT? Or does the NT have to be enabled in order for me to see the site rating icons?
