I have signed up my website to have it verified and reviewed for a safe rating. I have followed all of the instructions such as placing the file verification into the root directory as well as placing the custom meta tag as instructed. I get the following message: Web site ownership verification failed. Copy the auth file to the root directory of your Web site or copy the meta_tag into your Web site`s home page. Of course I searched for possible answers to this problem on this site and basically found I'm doing what I should - that is unless I'm missing something. My website is www.nw-webuyhomes.com. You'll find the file in the root directory with it set to read by public and I added the key directly into the Header.php file as instructed. Help please.
