I've recently set up a website through GoDaddy. Unfortunately I didn't realise that I cannot add the meta tag or the keyword provided by Norton to verify my website for the safe web search until now. I would be very thankful if you could please verify my site, as I understand the only chance to be Norton verified is by the manual method.
I can see the nortonsw meta tag you added, however it is located in the body section of your home page and not in the head section. When viewing the source code, this meta tag should be located between <head> and </head>.
I have also noticed a few other discrepancies that you might want to check. I will send you more detail via a Private Message. Look for the icon in the upper right corner of any forum page.
I shall notify the Safe Web team who will check for your authentication code. They may be able to gather the required information from the current meta tag, but to prevent any delays, it might be beneficial to see if you can get this new meta tag up into the head section.
The meta tag appears to be in the proper place, finally. :) I have also begun to correct some of the discrepancies you pointed out. Thanks again for all of your help, it is much appreciated.
Our hosting provider does not allow root access to our site, www.vtgiftscatalog.com . Is there another verification method available so that we may get our site tested? The hosting company suggested that adding a script to the default.html page may be a viable alternative method.

Your site ownership has been manually verified and your site 'fortresshws.com' has been submitted for analysis. Note that the initial evaluation process may take up to two weeks to complete.
I can see that the Safe Web Team did not pick up my messages from Tuesday night that I left for them. I don't have a calendar yet to see just what days they are off for holidays, I would say that they should respond to you the night they come back to work, hopefully, that will be tonight after midnight EST.
