Norton safetyminder does not do image analysis to block images

During my tests today, I searched for various items. Among them was a search for porn star names, and was surprised to see besteycandy.com web site show up in the clear!!! And Safetyminder did not even block the user from entering it!!! The page showed very explicit images of a porn star. This is totally unacceptable. Norton SafetyMinder should not just depend upon a list of few million websites to block, they should also do keyword blocks and image analysis blocks. I’m very disappointed with SafetyMinder allowing this site and the explicit images ot show up.

The besteyecandy.com is a main domain for many other sites. Eg. http://asiacarrera.besteyecandy.com or http://jennajameson.besteyecandy.com etc etc. So, there are 100s of sites like this ending in besteyecandy.com Norton doesn’t seem to provide a mechanism to block an entire domain. I would like you to block any and all sites, or recategorize them, if the site ends in ‘besteyecandy.com’. Can you please do that? Plus, as I said before, I’m not sure why Norton cannot apply image analysis to block images. I think there are image analysis software out there that will help you to do this. Thanks, Eashwaran.

There is a way to block that domain, you can just add besteyecandy.com to the blacklist.

 

However I will point out that you are correct, this should be blocked and I have already added a dispute category for this site as it is currently categorized as "Entertainment & Music", which clearly it is not.
