In what order does symantec suggest installing Norton Save & Restore 2.0 when a User has N.I.S. 2009 installed on their computer?
I can get N.S.&R. 2.0 to install, but, when I run LiveUpdate, it Downloads a huge Update - takes about five minutes to just Download, it will start to install, which will last about ten minutes, then I get a wee pop-up saying something like Fatal Error Occured when the Update was installing; LiveUpdate says the Update is still installing and, after thiry minutes, LiveUpdate will tell me that the Update Failed. Any ideas on how to Solve this? This is not the first time this has happened and I usually get it Fixed but, this time, it seems like I need help.
02. Ran LiveUpdate. After about twenty minutes of running, I got Error Code LU1801; followed the instructions.
03. Upon Re-starting the computer, a Windows' Installer poped up and said "Preparing to install". Next, it informed me that the "Norton Save & Restore service is stopping...". Left the computer for five minutes and then Ran the Tool to "start" LiveUpdate. Ran LiveUpdate, and says that there were no Updates to Download and Install!
04. At the moment, the Norton Save & Restore 2.0 Icon is missing from the Task Tray and I cannot use N. S.&R. 2.0.
Update: After Starting my computer today, Norton Save & Restore 2.0 icon is back in the Task Tray, but still says there is no Updates to Install - when it clearly Failed yesterday.

Just hang on please -- you are being connected .....
But a lot of people are on holiday and there's no need to be paranoic even if they are out to get you .... <g>
I have been waiting over a week for a Response from symantec which I find un-acceptable; I just want to get this sorted so it's not at the back of my mind!
Please stop asking stupid questions that do not help you get the support you want. It is none of your business how I know anything or even if I do know anything.

Geez, you don't have to jump down my throat!
I am the one with the Issue here; I think I ought to know what is going on here!
I'm assuming that you are running LiveUpdate through NSR to receive that update. Correct? For the problems you are experiencing I'm doing some research to see if we have a stand alone MSI for the latest NSR 2 patch. In the later posts were you running LiveUpdate with only NSR installed? (i.e. install NSR 2 and run LiveUpdate till no more updates and then install NIS?) Just trying to get the suspects out of the room.

I had N.I.S. 2009 installed and I ran LiveUpdate via N.S.&R. 2.0.
