Norton Save & Restore 2.0 runs forever. It runs to up to 73-75% of the volume and then the remaining time starts to grow indefinitely and the process never ends.
Hi! Lgeiler,
Welcome to the Norton Community!!
Have you been performing basic system maintenance? What's your OS & installed service pack level (i.e., Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2, or Windows 7 SP1 also include is it 32-bit or 64-bit)?

If it used to work but now hangs, the first thing I would try is a chkdsk /f on the drive being imaged.

Hi! BaveH,
While yes chkdsk /f will correct some errors it would miss errors that are checked for in the fourth stage of chkdsk /r so I would recommend that the OP run chkdsk /r if they have not already.
Still a very good suggestion though. :)

Sure, but If there was a bad sector Ghost or Save and Restore will give you an error.
