Hi the Norton Community.
Would it be possible for Norton to create a scanning tool that would find on the computer any security software or debris of security software on the computer including Norton security software and report with a list of it?
As there are so many different security products available see list below for some of them.
If there is more than one user of the computer it can be difficult to ascertain whose downloaded what and what was it called.
Some people are asked for the name of the previous security product and reply with, not the name but it was uninstalled.
Some people are not as thorough as others when checking in windows add/remove programmes for security software they don’t know is there as they or some one else downloaded it in a bundle.
Then on one thread there were three pages of posts before the confession arrived and in some cases I can imagine some people who have gone this far just don’t wan to say.
The scanner would also prevent the hassle of post after post trying to drag the name of the other security products that people may not want to post on the Norton security forum, as these security products are the competition but if they have run a Norton product this may alleviate the issue.
If this request has bee made before can you please place a link on this thread to the other thread. Thank you.
