Norton Secure VPN CPU spike, com.symantec.mes.systemextension memory spike and SymDaemon often crashing

So I have been noticing that if your internet is not stable, which often happens then Norton Secure VPN causes CPU spike. I have noticed this before too. Few minutes back my internet connection was not stable, so after it was working for a while, I try to connect Norton secure VPN, did that a few times as my connection was not stable. That's when I noticed this CPU spike. I have attached a screenshot. It will continue to do so until and unless it's terminated. Also I have been noticing SymDaemon often crashes in the background which I can see in console. While installing Xcode update which takes so many minutes, com.symantec.mes.systemextension consumes so many GBs of memory. Yesterday I was installing the latest update for Xcode and I noticed that system extension was consuming 4/5 GB of memory. Please try to do so to replicate this issue.

FYI, I am using the latest version of Norton 360 8.6.3 and macOS Big Sur 11.3

Looks like it crashes almost every day. I have uploaded another crash report in that Google drive folder.
