Norton Secure VPN vs. Norton 360 for iOS

What is the difference between the Norton 360 and the Norton Secure VPN? Do I need to install both Apps on iPhone or iPad? Since Norton 360 App appears dormant in iOS compared to the Windows version (No active scanning of files, no temp file cleanup, etc.), can I install only the Norton Secure VPN on the iPad to take advantage of the VPN? Is this the reason why there is a separate Secure VPN App aside from Norton 360 for iOS App?

Do I need to install both Apps on my iOS devices (Norton 360 AND Norton Secure VPN) or just one will do? Either the 360 or the VPN.

Thanks.

The VPN would not make any difference in your example of not seeing a popup on iOS like you do on a PC for an issue with an email.  Any suspicious links in an email would target a Windows OS, not a mobile OS. So there is no danger to your mobile device.  Thus no need for any popup.

But using the VPN when on public wifi connections is wise to protect your data.

Thank you. I removed the Secure VPN and re-installed the Norton 360 app on my iOS. I do feel like the program does not do anything much. The same email I opened in Windows that will trigger a pop that it's suspicious will open normally when opened on iPhone. So the VPN is what I am hoping for since I occasionally use Public Wifi.

Norton Secure VPN is just that. A VPN app. No other features.

Norton 360 adds Safe Web feature to help protect your internet interactions. It also monitors your wifi connections to warn you if the connection is secure or compromised. It also monitors your Device's security, checking that you have the latest iOS version and whether or not you have a lock screen set up. And it also has the VPN feature with the same features as the standalone VPN app.

If your Norton 360 subscription includes Secure VPN you don't need to have Norton Secure VPN app installed. In fact it's not recommended to run both VPNs at the same time. So you can choose which one will suit your needs better.
