[Updated on 20th August] Norton Security 22.18.0.222 has been released targeting Windows 7 SP1 customers with Norton 22.18.0.213 installed. This build fixes the Norton installation issue on Windows 7 machines. Once this patch is applied, Windows 7 customers can apply the latest Windows Update patch.

[Updated on 9th August: Earlier this week, we had halted the throttle of Norton Security 22.18.0.213 due to an in-field issue which resulted in Norton user interface failing to open after the upgrade, in some systems.
This issue is fixed now and patch is re-posted.

Norton Security 22.18.0.213 update is now available via LiveUpdate. As with our previous updates, this version is being released in a phased manner. This update is available in all supported languages. To download it, simply run LiveUpdate through Norton user interface.

This patch is ONLY available via LiveUpdate, and is being released in a phased manner. You may need to run LiveUpdate and reboot a few times before your product is completely updated to the latest version.

- Protection for Email Attachments – Script Control:
- Script Control provides protection from potentially malicious content which gets downloaded or received as attachments in phishing emails. It removes suspicious scripts from files and sanitizes the files. For more information, take a look at 'Norton Script Control' is a part of 22.18 forum post.
NOTE: This feature is throttled, and will not be immediately available after 22.18 upgrade. This feature will be selectively exposed to users.

- SafeCam will be shown under Security pillar for all NEW Norton 360 customers.

- The user is notified via a toaster message, if they have a new message in their Norton Message Inbox
