Hi,
I had an update to Norton Security with Backup over the weekend.
This morning NIS just decided to start randomly scanning and quaranting a large number of my files - these are well-known EXE or DLL files from various programs.
In the end I had to disable my NS AV and, as I now type this, I do not have the AV activated which, considering that I have been running Norton AV products since about the year dot, is a tad disturbing.
Please do not say that these files must be infected as, quite simply, I would ask why has no previous version of Norton AV, in many years of constant use, never spotted any of these files as infected or harmful.
I am past spending hours and days of my life trying to work out what the cause of this problem is myself. I had a product that was working fine. I got an update from Norton and now Norton Security thinks that loads of my files are a threat. They have not been a threat for years and years ... and years.. so why now?
Please sort this out. At the moment the product is unsusable.
The only thing that has changed on my PC since this started has been Norton Security.
