Hi, I recently upgraded from Norton 360 to Norton Security. While I never had any problems with 360, the Norton Security prevents my windows from sutting down or restarting.
The Problem: everytime I hit restart or shutdown, the PC hangs at the blue shut down screen. After waiting for 30 minutes, I hit the reset button. This happened multiple times, though only after the PC was on for a certain amount of times (about 30 minutes?). If I boot the pc and try to shut down immediately, it works. If I disable annti-virus and firewall before shutting down, it works as well. What also seems to work is the AutoFix function, though I have to use it regularly, because autofix frequently finds somethig to fix. So, the issue seems to repeat istself.
I'm writing here, because yesterday after resettting my pc, I gut a BSOD with "unmountable boot Volume" which meant that I had to reinstall Windows, which is always annoying, and besides, I lost valuable data. So I don't want to have to go through this again. Does anyone have the same issue? What can I do to fix it. Two hours ago, I had to cut the power from my PC AGAIN, even though I used AutoFix just this morning, Turns out, after restarting, the autofix found another error...
I don't want to install Windows 7 again. And I need my PC for work! Thx,
