I use Norton Security and quite often files on my harddisk are recognized as a virus, but it's often a false-positive. The problem with this is that after recovering the file (from quarantine) it (the *.exe) seems to be broken. Fact is that it cannot be run again, Windows (10 x64) tells me that it's not a valid executable.
The file size is identical to the moment before Norton blocked/removed my file, time and date are from the moment of recovery and all the letters are lowercase in the filename. The last two things are also very annoying, but leaving a non working executable is really bad.
What can I do to prevent Norton from destroying my files?
